Røros is one of Norway’s coziest winter destinations. Experience a true winter fairytale with kicksleds, dog sledding, and sleigh rides. Don’t miss the traditional Christmas market with decorations, reindeer, and festive stalls.

Date: December 5-8, 2025 (Usually takes place during the first weekend of December)

DAY 1: WELCOME TO RØROS
Check in at Røros Hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring the Christmas town on your own or enjoy the Spa & Wellness area.
As a guest at Røros Hotel you have free access to the wellness area. With views toward the iconic church, Bergstaden Ziir, you can enjoy a pool heated to 32°C, along with outdoor pools and jacuzzis at 36°C all year round.
We recommend dinner at Vertshuset or Kaffestuggu.
DAY 2 AND 3: CHRISTMAS MARKET
Enjoy a slow morning with hotel breakfast. One day you may join a dog sledding trip on Rørosvidda (not included).
The other day you can spend exploring the cozy Christmas market in Røros. For the 13th year, the market fills the charming shopping streets with stalls, Christmas food, and traditional pre-Christmas activities.
Before dinner, there’s the option of a traditional sleigh ride (not included).

DAY 4: DEPARTURE
Take a relaxed morning with breakfast. If you’re traveling by train, why not use a kicksled to get to the station? Place your luggage on the sled and park it at the “kicksled parking” before departure.
