ROADTRIP IN NORWAY
This is a road trip along spectacular roads through Norway’s breathtaking nature!
You’ll drive high and low through fjords and mountains with overnight stays at charming and historic hotels.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL
You’ll arrive in Oslo, pick up your rental car, and drive westwards.
Tonight, you’ll stay at Herangtunet Boutique Hotel. Surrounded by untouched nature and wild mountains, Herangtunet is a historic farmstead turned boutique hotel. It’s a luxurious base for an active, relaxing, romantic, or culinary adventure.

DAY 2: HERANGTUNET
Enjoy the day at Herangtunet. Go hiking in Jotunheimen and try trout fishing in Lake Heggefjorden. In winter, you can ski or go dog sledding.
However, it is easy to forget to simply embrace the atmosphere and relax in these beautiful surroundings. Herangtunet is both a base for adventurous activities and a place to completely unwind while enjoying traditional Norwegian food.

DAY 3: SOGNEFJORD
After breakfast, your journey continues towards the Sognefjord. Along the way, you’ll pass Borgund Stavkirke (medieval wooden church) in Lærdal, considered the best-preserved stave church in Norway, dating from year 1342. Tonight, you’ll stay at Walaker Hotel in the small village of Solvorn. Walaker is Norway’s oldest family-run hotel, now managed by the 8th and 9th generation.

DAY 4: WALAKER HOTEL
Explore Solvorn. You can take the ferry across the fjord to Urnes Stavkrike (from 1130), Norway’s oldest. Spend the rest of the day enjoying the surroundings, the beautiful garden, art gallery, and local food.
Here we guarantee a unique dining experience: langoustines from the fjord, venison from the mountains, berries from the garden, homemade cheese, and apple juice.
Bon appétit!

DAY 5: GEIRANGER
After breakfast, you continue via Loen, driving through a stunning landscape of turquoise fjords and dramatic peaks. For the adventurous, we highly recommend a guided trip onto Jostedalsbreen Glacier – the largest in mainland Europe.
Arrive to Geiranger in the afternoon.

DAY 6: THE GEIRANGER FJOR
After breakfast, head out to explore Geiranger. Stop at one of the panoramic viewpoints before exploring the UNESCO-listed fjord. Take a boat trip to see the dramatic waterfalls plunging down the mountainsides. You can disembark at Skageflå, an abandoned farm perched 250m above the fjord, and hike back – a spectacular trail with views of the Seven Sisters waterfalls.

DAY 7: TROLLSTIGEN
Today’s drive takes you along Norway’s most famous scenic road: Trollstigen. The narrow, winding road has 11 steep hairpin bends – you’ll feel it in your stomach! Continue on to Ålesund for the evening.
Ålesund is renowned for world-class seafood and some of Europe’s best bacalao restaurants.

DAY 8: ÅLESUND
Spend the day exploring Ålesund and its unique Art Nouveau architecture. Go kayaking around the harbour or take a boat trip to Runde Island, home to more than 100,000 seabirds during nesting season (April–August), including puffins.

DAY 9: DEPARTURE
Depart from Ålesund Airport. Remember, the itinerary can be tailored to your wishes – just let us know if you’d like to adjust the daily program, travel days, or other details.
