LONG WEEKEND IN THE NORTH-WEST
Explore Norway’s Northwest. The journey begins with an overnight stay at Angvik Gamle Handelssted and continues to Tindhovedstanden in Åndalsnes. Climb some of the Romsdal Mountains and continue your adventure through the stunning fjords. End the trip with relaxing days at Kilsti, staying in designer cabins with panoramic views of Storfjorden.
P.S. This journey can be adjusted and customized in many ways. Feel free to ask us for suggestions!

DAY 1: ARRIVAL
You arrive at Molde Airport or enter Nordmøre by car. Angvik Gamle Handelssted is just about an hour from Molde – a hidden gem on Tingvollfjorden.
At Angvik, it’s perfectly fine to simply relax and do nothing at all. Enjoy the view, the spa, the atmosphere, and the excellent food.

DAY 2: ÅNDALSNES
After a refreshing breakfast, drive just under two hours to Åndalsnes. Nestled between fjords and mountains, Åndalsnes is Norway’s Tindhovedstad (Peak Capital). Here, you are surrounded by dramatic and beautiful scenery, with the Rauma River, Trollveggen, and the sharp peaks of the Romsdal Mountains as your backdrop.
Relax at your hotel before dinner or perhaps take an e-bike ride up the Trollstigen.

DAY 3: ROMSDALSEGGEN
Enjoy a hearty breakfast and pack a lunch, because today you’ll hike Romsdalseggen. We can arrange the hike with a guide. The route starts with some steep sections and is not suitable for those with a fear of heights. Once you reach the ridge, you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views of Trollveggen. You can shorten the hike by taking the brand-new gondola from the top down to Åndalsnes town center.
Back at the hotel, enjoy a delicious dinner and some refreshments. After a day like this, you’ll sleep well.

DAY 4: KILSTI COMPACT LODGE
After breakfast and check-out, drive up the iconic Trollstigen and continue toward Valldal. Take the ferry from Linge to Eidsdal, and then drive up to Kilsti, a small farmstead on the mountainside overlooking the stunning Storfjorden. The scenery is spectacular, and the area is rich in cultural history. You’ll stay in modern cabins that blend seamlessly with the landscape and are fully recyclable.
Your nearest neighbor is a goat farmer, and it’s not uncommon to be greeted by the local “welcome committee.” Each cabin has a kitchen, and it’s possible to order a meal box with locally sourced ingredients delivered by nearby farmers – an unforgettable culinary experience.

DAY 5: DEPARTURE
Enjoy the peace, quiet, and a lovely morning with a warm cup of coffee. Why not start the day in the sauna with views of the UNESCO World Heritage site, the West Norwegian Fjord Landscape?
Today you can drive back to Molde to return your rental car or continue toward Geiranger and Ålesund. Feel free to ask us for suggestions!
