DAY 2: GLACIER SAFARI
After breakfast you travel to explore the mighty glaciers in Isfjorden by boat. During the trip you come close to teeming wildlife and glaciers. Our guides assess weather and conditions and choose the destination that will give you the best experience.
You will hear thunderclaps from the glacier. The glacier is in movement. The sound comes from ice masses that move, break off and plunge into the sea. The glacier calves.

DAY 3: DOG SLEDDING ON WHEELS
You can arrange the day as you wish, but what about driving your own dog sledding team?
The dog sledding team consists of four to six very willing dogs and steady wagons. You travel into Adventdalen with cultural monuments from the mining time and a teeming wildlife.
The summer landscape on Svalbard changes constantly, from snow and midnight sun in May, to autumn colours in September. A bare landscape without a single tree, but diverse with its vast, cold wilderness and dominant mountains. On the way we pass several industrial cultural monuments. Maybe you see reindeer grazing or the arctic fox that wanders around.

DAY 4: JOURNEY HOME
After breakfast you can explore Longyearbyen before your journey home.
TRAVEL SUGGESTION FOR SUN WINTER
Explore the Svalbard landscape with snowmobile trip to Barentsburg and Arctic dog sledding.
Sun winter is the period between February/March to May/June. The light and sun return, the activity level and energy increase.

DAG 2: SNOWMOBILE TRIP
To experience beautiful and majestic nature, you’ll use some hours with snowmobile southwest of Longyearbyen, to Grønfjorden.
You are picked up at the hotel and dressed up with extra warm clothes and shoes. After a briefing about snowmobile driving and safety, you travel through Svalbard’s very special landscape. Through a varied terrain we move over endless plains, bare landscape and feel the sensation of mastering snowmobile driving. The Svalbard reindeer can be observed from the scooter seat, where they graze on the little that is to be found of vegetation in wintertime.
On the trip we make a stop out in the field to eat lunch. The guide chooses a suitable area so that we can enjoy the beautiful natural landscape while you eat.

DAY 3: ARCTIC DOG SLEDDING
Today you will go on a trip with your own dog team. In the dog yard the guide will give you the basic knowledge and together you harness the dogs. As soon as everyone is ready, you set out into the wilderness and inwards the valley. Northern lights, full moon, stormy weather, or sun. The Arctic wilderness offers fantastic experiences.
To feel the dogs’ power and their eagerness to run is a wonderful experience. In the open Arctic landscape, you can also be lucky to see Svalbard reindeer or arctic fox.
