DAY 1: HARDANGERFJORDEN (HARDANGER FJORD)

This journey begins with an overnight stay near Hardangerfjord, a region renowned for its dramatic natural landscapes and rich cultural history. From fjords to mountains, from apples to cider, from glaciers to waterfalls – you’ll encounter highlights such as Trolltunga, Vøringsfossen, Dronningstien, and the Folgefonna Glacier, to name just a few.

Hardanger - sidersafari

DAY 2: CIDERSAFARI

Visit one or more cider producers and gain insight into the production, culture, and taste of Hardanger cider. “Sider frå Hardanger” is a protected geographical designation, on par with Calvados or Champagne. This unique cider has experienced a renaissance and is now an award-winning, high-quality product.

Sail the fjord on a modern hybrid boat between one or more cider farms – a truly memorable experience!

Fjord Cruise - Flåm

DAY 3: FLÅM

After breakfast and check-out, continue to Flåm, where you will stay at our favorite, Fretheim Hotel.

Flåm is a picturesque village at the innermost part of the idyllic Aurlandsfjord, a branch of the Sognefjord in the heart of Fjord Norway. The village has nearly 200 years of tourism history and serves as the perfect base for exploring some of Norway’s most spectacular natural attractions, with a wide range of activities available.

DAY 4: FLÅM

Today you have time to explore Flåm and the surrounding area. Consider taking the historic Flåm Railway up to Myrdal Station and cycling down the winding Rallarveien. Along the way, you can also try Northern Europe’s longest zipline.

Alternatively, embark on a fjord cruise aboard completely emission-free boat. Glide silently through the fjord landscape, surrounded by majestic mountain peaks, wild waterfalls, and lush vegetation. You may hear sheep bleating on the mountainside and the roar of cascading waterfalls. Aurlandsfjord and Nærøyfjord were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2005.

DAY 5: WALAKER HOTEL

After breakfast and check-out, continue your journey to Walaker Hotel in the charming village of Solvorn.

Walaker Hotel is a true gem and a destination in its own right. It is Norway’s oldest family-run hotel, dating back to 1640, and is now operated by the ninth generation of the Nitter Walaker family. Enjoy overnight accommodation in historic rooms and indulge in excellent food and drink.

Spend the afternoon relaxing in the lush garden or take the ferry across the fjord to Urnes to visit Norway’s oldest stave church, dating back to 1100.
